ScreenCalmer Privacy Policy

ScreenCalmer is built and run by Asterism Studio (“we”, “us”). This policy covers two things: the ScreenCalmer Android app, and this website. The short version: the app collects nothing (apart from the activation check in section 2), and this website collects nothing at all.

1. What the app collects

Nothing. ScreenCalmer has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your data stays on your device. The app’s only network activity at all is the activation check described in section 2. Your settings — timer length, calm-screen preferences, language — are stored on your device only and never leave it. If you set a custom image or video as your calm screen, that file is read from your device and displayed locally; it is never copied or sent anywhere.

The app requests a small number of Android permissions (screen overlay, notifications, exact alarms, run at startup, wake lock and foreground service for the countdown, access to the media file you pick for a custom calm screen, and internet access used only for the activation check described in section 2). They exist for one purpose: showing your calm screen on time. The app never reads the content of other apps.

2. Purchases

If you buy the Pro upgrade through Google Play, the payment is processed entirely by Google under Google’s own privacy policy. We never see or store your payment details.

If you redeem an activation code through our direct-sale track, the app reads your device’s Android ID to bind the code to your device. That identifier is sent only to our activation server to verify the code — this is the only thing the app ever uses the network for. It is never used for advertising and never shared with third parties.

3. What this website collects

Nothing. This website has no sign-up form, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

4. How long we keep data

All app data lives on your device; uninstalling the app erases it.

5. Children’s privacy

ScreenCalmer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Neither the app nor this website collects personal information at all.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
